Photo Essay | Texas | Family

I’m the type of person that brings a camera with me everywhere I go, I enjoy looking through a camera in my life. My family has become the most photographed thing in my world and it’s important to me to document our lives. These pictures get created into little books each year highlighting the personality, adventures, and emotions of our family. When I take these pictures I think, if only I can take pictures like this when I am around non-family. That’s my goal as a photograph to be able to have no second thoughts or doubts when doing my work, to photograph everything as I do with my family. Photos by: Chris Rusanowsky / American Reportage

The Conservator is a blog I, Chris Rusanowsky has created to preserve and share my work without the distraction of an algorithm. I want to see my photos on a full screen with text that I type to describe the work I produce. It is like my own newspaper without the deadline or direction of a beat that I am assigned. This blog is about stories, self-discovery, and the art of visual journalism. Thanks for stopping by!
